A Brief Introduction
Having nearly been destroyed during the bombings of Nuremburg in World War II, the medieval cathedral was documented to preserve the its historic architecture. During its nearly 800-year lifespan, the church has become a prime example of architectural transformation from Romanesque into late Gothic.
Statement of Data QualityThe Church of Saint Sebald in Nürnberg, Germany was digitally documented to aid in repair work after large cracks were observed in previous reconstruction works. The full interior and exterior of the church were Digitally Preserved. Additional contextual information, such as the facades of surrounding buildings, was also captured through this process.
