A Brief Introduction
The Digital Nineveh Archives Project is the first CyArk project to feature original excavation records which were recently digitized in order to make them more widely available. This project is the first of its kind for CyArk in that no high definition documentation techniques were used to collect the data.
Statement of Data QualityThe data included in the Nineveh project comes from the Berkeley Expedition field records, including past and present archaeological research material. All Berkeley Expedition data is in the process of being digitized and added to the collection. This is an ever-growing data set and as of yet, no Digital Preservation work consisting of 3D laser scanning, HDR panoramic photography, or other technologically advanced methods of digital recording has occurred on site. CyArk will add these types of data to the project should they become available in the future.
